beware of search results
I was searching about the sand storm forecast in Google and what happened to the predictions. I ended up these pages as I sorted it with dates
http://www.google.com/search?q=kuwait%20sandstorm&hl=en&rls=com.microsof...
While going through the results, I noticed two sites which are listed but leads to the irrelevant pages. When checked the pattern, both these sites are pointing to similar pages. (links are taken off)

Fasttelco DSL crazy pricing
see the image: the 6 months charge for a 1mbps connection is 174.200 KD. Don't know what is that 200 fils doing there :). However, the one year subscription of the same connections costs on 156 KD... Agian.. 174.200 for 6 months and only 156 for one year...
Another one is on the 2 mbps... 3 months costs 261.750 fils while one year costs only 226 KD.... Is this a sales magic from fasttelco or a typo error in the site?

Apartment Rent’s are going down in Salmiya
Recently I was checking out the current rents in salmiya for a two bedroom to flat and found that rents are gone down drastically. If you look around in salmiya you will find a lot of apartments have the for rent board attached to them.
The recession and the job cuts have increased the number of expat residents leaving Kuwait. This leads to the situation that you have enough supply but less demand. Another scenario is that people are afraid of their own job security are not looking out for changing the apartment as they do not want to spend money on changing the apartment.
In my building where a 3 bedroom apartment which was costing around 300 KD 6 months back is now available for 270KD. Even at the reduced price, there are no takers for the apartment and many of the apartments are left vacant for months. Even though the new flats are quoted at 240, on a real bargain it goes as low as 220 KD. more...
